<p>Job Title: CAD Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for drafting and providing designs to the Engineering team. Your role includes taking raw data and transforming it into working drawings, building upon these to add construction layers such as electrical auxiliary systems, power distribution, lighting systems, and fire alarm systems, to create comprehensive construction documents. You will need to consult with engineers to ensure accuracy and fill in technical details.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Draft and provide designs to Engineering </li><li>Create as-built drawings, including specifications and design of site, interior, and emergency lighting </li><li>Coordinate with mechanical contract drawings to ensure accurate placement of lighting systems </li><li>Produce detailed electrical schematics </li><li>Fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, and specifications </li><li>Perform calculations for placement accuracy </li><li>Clean up data through rendering and redlining </li><li>Research specifications and datasheets as needed </li><li>Log drawings and database entries </li><li>Participate in weekly team meetings regarding project schedules </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience as a BIM Modeler, Detailer, Technician, or Coordinator </li><li>Proficiency in Revit, either electrical (preferred) or architectural </li><li>Experience in designing and building detailed 3D models of electrical systems (conduits, fixtures, panels) </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural related degree </li><li>Experience with BIM Navisworks </li><li>Diverse project experience including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and automotive buildings </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in an office located in Madison Heights, with a team of 20 employees, while the rest of the staff are in the field as Installers, Field Techs, and Electricians. The team works from 8am to 5pm in a casual attire environment where jeans and button-ups are allowed. The office is part of a dynamic production environment where you will work on 3-6 projects simultaneously. The company boasts a diverse customer base across automotive buildings, industrial plants, and commercial complexes.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, MI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
