<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse RN in the Operating Room delivers patient care for surgical patients.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Registered Nurse RN assumes responsibility for providing patient care to an assigned group of patients, overseeing and coordinating all nursing care in alignment with established standards of practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates seamlessly with colleagues, physicians, members of the healthcare team, and patients and their families to guarantee the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute Inpatient setting is required. Preference is given to candidates with Intraoperative Operating Room (OR) experience.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS or CPR certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in practicing according to the recommended standards and guidelines of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits:</p> <p>Full-Time: 40 hours/week - Day Shift.
