You'll provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and families, while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care model </li><li>Develop and implement individualized care plans </li><li>Educate patients and families throughout the care journey </li><li>Collaborate with peers and leadership to improve care quality and safety </li><li>Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice </li><li>Serve as a mentor and preceptor to students and new staff </li><li>Maintain a healthy work-life balance and model professional accountability </li></ul> <p>Qualifications - Internal</p> <p>Additional Qualifications & Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Age-Specific Competency </li></ul> <p>Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care based on the age of patients served. If interested, please inform your recruiter during the interview process.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care and interact effectively with patients across the lifespan, as defined by the assigned unit. </li><li>Understands principles of growth and development and can assess and interpret data to meet each patient's age-specific needs in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. </li><li>Builds and maintains positive, compassionate relationships with patients, families, physicians, non-physician providers, leadership, and interdisciplinary team members. </li><li>Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate specialized medical equipment. </li><li>Exhibits strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills essential to delivering high-quality patient care. </li><li>Possesses the critical thinking skills necessary to apply and guide others in the nursing process. </li><li>Demonstrates physical capabilities including mobility, visual and manual dexterity, and the stamina required for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>UPMC approved national certification preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>Registered Nurse (RN) </li><li>Act 33 with renewal </li><li>Act 34 with renewal </li><li>Act 73 FBI Clearance </li><li>Minimum six months experience.
