<p>The Health Educator develops, implements, and assesses patient education programs both within the NEVHC clinical sites and in the community at large.</p> <p>Reports to: Program Manager, Health Education</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Health Education or related field. </li><li>One-year previous experience in maternal and child health required for positions within the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP). One-year experience in chronic disease conditions such as Diabetes and/or Hypertension </li><li>Must maintain a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, in compliance with corporate CPR Policy. </li><li>Fluency in English (speaks, read and write). </li><li>Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write). </li><li>Current California driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage acceptable to the NEVHC's insurance carrier. </li><li>Good interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate group health education classes.
