We know how to make things happen and know that our people are always the source of our success.</p> <p>How the Position Works</p> <p>The Junior Accountant will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting processes while also providing support with the team working directly with the profitability of the business. The position will interact across the organization with business stakeholders, multiple departments, and clients. The position will offer opportunities to be challenged technically and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and driven with high attention to detail.</p> <p>The specific responsibilities of the Junior Accountant include:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing the reconciliation of costs related to partner and digital lead generation for the organization. </li><li>Work with colleagues across the organization to properly recognize costs and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis. </li><li>Perform month end closing processes in assigned areas, specifically related to costs and accruals. </li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. </li><li>Prepare journal entries related to payroll and prepare payroll related reconciliations. </li><li>Responsible for intercompany activity function to ensure proper handling in the financial statements. </li><li>Assist with external audit requests. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. </li><li>Special projects as needed. </li><li>Participate in and contribute positively to work/team environment. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>What you need to be successful</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting </li><li>Critical thinking and high attention to detail </li><li>Strong mathematical and analytical skills </li><li>Organized and strong time management skills </li><li>Experience working with NetSuite a plus </li><li>Proficiency in Excel </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills </li><li>3+ years of accounting experience </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP </li></ul> <p>TRANZACT is an equal opportunity employer.
