This position performs complex warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material, packs material for shipments and drives trucks as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors </li><li>Checks and places materials in the correct bin </li><li>Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies </li><li>Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials </li><li>Cuts down over-sized laminate and core to fill pending orders </li><li>Reads, interprets, processes, and packs orders </li><li>Performs total skid count for loads </li><li>Assists the needs of the customer </li><li>Experience with Oracle or Infor preferred </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of computers sufficient to check inventories </li><li>Knowledge of materials inventoried </li><li>Knowledge of packing techniques </li><li>Knowledge of proper material handling techniques </li><li>Ability to understand and follow directions </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to drive a lift truck and operate a table saw </li><li>Ability to read and understand customer orders </li><li>Knowledge of DOT requirements </li><li>Skill in proper handling techniques for all products </li><li>Skill in required packaging techniques for all products inventoried </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate or GED </li><li>One year of college may be substituted for one year of required experience (maximum substitution of three years) </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>3+ years relevant warehouse experience</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> </li><li> <p>Performing tasks with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs</p> </li><li> <p>Continuous physical exertion such as walking and standing throughout the day is also required.</p> </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
