<p>Part-Time, 16 Hours/Week</p> <p>Variable Days</p> <p>Onsite - Dental</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle function.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Coordinates all aspects of revenue cycle function including but not limited to appointment scheduling, registration, arrival/departure functions, visit preparation, verification of insurance eligibility, authorization of procedures, pricing estimates, co-pay and co-insurance collections.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and with others on routine tasks, to follow written and oral instructions, referring special problems or unusual situations to the appropriate supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides excellent customer service to patients and their families upon arrival in the Dental Clinic in a professional, efficient and congenial manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Educates and assist the family of their financial responsibility and payment options in a confidential and professional manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the registration process of patients arriving in the Dental Clinic.</p> </li><li> <p>Collects and verifies insurance information from patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes any additional clerical duties as assigned by Dental Clinic Management team.</p> </li><li> <p>Quality Improvement Expectations include documentation of patient account activity, registrations and insurance/benefit information.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as required.</p> </li></ol> <p>Other information:</p> <p>Technical Expertise</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience in Patient Access, Patient Accounts or Customer Service, and the revenue cycle preferably in a dental or medical setting is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to type 25 words per minute is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong customer service, problem-solving and organizational skills are required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with medical terminology and ADA/ICD-CM coding is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with various levels within an organization is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in healthcare is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in an electronic medical record system (i.e. EPIC) is preferred.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ol> <li> <p>Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Certification: None.</p> </li><li> <p>Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Years of experience supervising: None.</p> </li></ol> <p>Part Time</p> <p>FTE: 0.400000</p> <p>Status: Onsite</p>
