<p>•Plan a program of study that fosters a coherent and thoughtful progression of learning; meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students; and employs a variety of instructional techniques.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate basic accompaniment on piano/keyboard. </li><li>Create a learning environment that fosters individual growth and expression, creative thinking, teamwork and high student engagement. </li><li>Program effectively a repertoire that is grade-level and performance-appropriate in the public school setting. </li><li>Have a strong understanding of middle school growth and development to design lessons and adapt curriculum to be age-appropriate and student-centered. </li><li>Plan, rehearse, and direct musical programs for school and/or community. </li><li>Assess and communicate the progress of students on a regular basis and use these assessments to inform instruction. </li><li>Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations, including but not limited to, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Accommodation Plans, or any other education plans. </li><li>Control the storage and use of school-owned property. </li><li>Communicate effectively with all stakeholders (families, team members, and student assistance team). </li><li>Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and self-selected professional growth activities related to music. </li><li>Attend staff, team, and department meetings while closely collaborating with departmental colleagues on a regular basis. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
