A cover letter is required for this position.</p> <p>At Michigan Medicine, our Audiologists embody The Michigan Difference through our expert, compassionate care. We are looking for an Audiologist with experience in diagnostics and a strong interest in hearing device technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated and sincere interest in career development in the area of hearing device management for adult patients. This position offers an opportunity to participate in the clinical education of audiology doctoral students, otolaryngology residents, and fellows, as well as participation in and contribution to clinical research activities.</p> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive audiological assessment for patients of various ages, with a focus on the adult and geriatric population </li><li>Coordinate test results with other patient, medical, social and behavioral information. </li><li>Counsel patients and/or families on findings and provide patient education. </li><li>Participate in the design and development of clinical protocols and procedures. </li><li>May assist in the organization and coordination of clinic functions, lectures, workshops and in-service training programs. </li><li>Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas </li><li>Hearing device evaluation, fitting, verification, and follow-up </li><li>Ability to maintain a busy audiology schedule at various locations; travel to satellite locations is expected with this position </li><li>Proficiency with electronic medical record (Epic) and various audiology-specific software </li><li>Participation in case conferences, grand rounds, journal club, and departmental meetings </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>State of Michigan Audiology license </li><li>Doctorate or Masters degree in Audiology </li><li>Clinical experience including diagnostic audiologic testing and hearing aid dispensing </li><li>Experience with digital audiometric software and electronic medical records </li><li>Able to successfully complete Michigan Medicine provider credentialing </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a very busy fast-paced clinical environment </li><li>Experience working with technical support staff </li><li>Intellectual inquisitiveness.
