We are part of ATS Corporation, part of the Life Sciences Group and our segment positively impacts the quality of lives of billions of people across the globe by providing automation of care products/solutions and services across the healthcare and life sciences markets we choose to participate in.</p> <p>About The Role</p> <p>The Global Head of Commercial Operations at BioDot will be responsible for product sales and customer support through the development and execution of a commercialization strategy. The Head of Commercial will be responsible for the achievement of revenue and market share targets globally. The Head of Commercial will have responsibility for sales, customer service, and technical support and be responsible for marketing and business development efforts globally. The Head of Commercial will define appropriate channels to market for the company's products and services. The position will report to the General Manager and be based in the US.</p> <p>To ensure setting up the business and the right candidate for success, some key functions may be transitioned over time; meaning initial focus could be on sales and marketing with support being added once sales and marketing have been successfully led. Additionally, the geographic territory will initially be focused on the Americas with future expansion planned to include global responsibilities.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and therefore will be required to support development of annual strategy review and annual operating plans; as well as quarterly and monthly report-outs on progress and pivots as needed to achieve corporate goals. Supports corporate initiatives as required. </li><li>Delivers strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure. Develops and implements the company's sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth. </li><li>Ensures compliance to corporate policies for the team(s) led including the adoption, use and maintenance of company CRM by sales and support teams. </li><li>Leads and coaches the marketing team to develop the company's marketing strategy with an emphasis on achieving market penetration and sales growth through cost-effective customer acquisition and market demand generation. </li><li>Provides continuity between pre and post sales phases to optimize the customer's BioDot experience so refinement of message and best practices and win rates are maximized globally. </li><li>Assesses, builds, leads, and manages an array of necessary channels capable of delivering on the company's revenue and growth objectives. </li><li>Develops a strategy and provides leadership for key account management and business development within strategic customers. </li><li>Originates and manages sales opportunities that are consistent with the company's strategy for revenue growth. </li><li>Deploys and drives adoption of appropriate tools and processes to improve sales and support productivity and efficiency. </li><li>Reports selected company metrics including but not limited to marketing share, promotional ROI, customer and segment penetration, and channel effectiveness. Provides revenue forecasts and develops and monitors annual revenue and expense budgets. </li><li>Develops annual marketing plan with close alignment with the sales and support plans and ATS LS strategy and manages progress to plan through monthly and quarterly business reviews. </li><li>Develops and executes processes in understanding voice of customer and competitive analysis, market needs to identify unserved markets, SWOT analysis for life science sub segments. </li><li>Develops collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the of the company's overall business goals. </li><li>Manages compensation of teams in accordance to budgets including the writing and reviewing of commission plans and finance reports. </li><li>To continuously improve products, cost reductions, etc., works as part of a cross-functional global team which includes regular interactions with engineering, ops, marketing, support, finance and ATS partner companies and corporate team members. </li><li>Maintain professional relationships with customers and co-workers. </li><li>Performs other duties as necessary as assigned by management in a "see it, do it" capacity. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in life sciences coupled with at least 10+ years of business and leadership experience in the marketing and sales of life science tools/services to the pharma, biotech, and research communities. Advanced degree or MBA preferred. </li><li>Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build and lead field and inside sales, technical and customer support, distribution channels, and in selling and marketing services and products. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies. </li><li>Must have good written and verbal skills including group presentation experience. Needs to clearly communicate technical and nontechnical concepts in a group setting. </li><li>Ability to think creatively and develop non-traditional solutions to complex business challenges. </li><li>Experience at creating executive level presentations and articulating complex ideas with simple, straightforward, and organized methods. </li><li>Outstanding sales & marketing skills. Energetic, pragmatic, business driven player, a "hunter mentality" and a desire to win with strong negotiation and analytical skills. </li><li>A proven problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge; shows grit, passion and resilience. </li><li>Familiarity with CRMs (Salesforce.com, Pipedrive, Microsoft 365, SAP), as an advanced user, and/or with experience in implementation would be a plus. </li><li>Ability to be hands-on as well as strategic. Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking skills. </li><li>Effective cross-functional collaborator, with demonstrated competency in a culturally diverse workforce. </li><li>At times can require up to 50% domestic and international travel, especially during onboarding period.
