<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time, As-Needed, Non-Benefits Eligible Senior Vice President, Bridge / Structural Engineer - Technical Director to provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for our California Transportation Bridge and Structural Engineering practice, based in California.</p> <p>This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on ensuring excellence in structural engineering delivery across complex bridge and infrastructure projects, while shaping long-term strategy, innovation, and growth. The position will support work across California and coordinate with teams nationally as needed.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Provide regional and multi-sector technical direction for bridge and structural engineering work to ensure delivery meets or exceeds industry standards for quality, safety, structural integrity, and functionality. </li><li>Serve as a Technical Director and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for bridges and structural engineering projects, including the firm's most complex and high-profile pursuits and deliveries. </li><li>Provide SME guidance for the design, implementation, and administration of bridge and structural engineering projects and programs. </li><li>Support and review technical deliverables, ensuring consistency, innovation, and adherence to WSP and industry standards. </li><li>Lead and support technical strategy, growth planning, and pipeline development for the Bridge / Structural Engineering practice in California. </li><li>Partner with regional and national leadership to address current and future technical challenges within a large, multi-faceted organization. </li><li>Support business development and pursuits, including proposal strategy, technical approaches, and client presentations. </li><li>Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing. </li><li>Coordinate with out-of-state and national teams to support integrated project delivery and resource optimization. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred). </li><li>15+ years of progressive experience in bridge and structural engineering, including leadership on complex transportation infrastructure projects. </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required; California PE strongly preferred. </li><li>Recognized technical authority in bridge and structural engineering. </li><li>Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership across large, multi-disciplinary teams. </li><li>Proven ability to support strategic growth, pursuits, and client engagement. </li><li>Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience serving as Technical Director or equivalent senior technical leadership role. </li><li>Experience supporting large-scale bridge programs and marquee transportation projects. </li><li>Active involvement in professional organizations or industry leadership forums. </li></ul> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.</p> <p>#LI-AC1</p>
