Website: BVSD.</p> <p>Location: US:CO:LAFAYETTE</p> <p>School: Escuela Bilingue Pioneer</p> <p>Position Title: Specialist-Student Support</p> <p>Position Start Date: August 5, 2025</p> <p>Position Type: Professional Technical</p> <p>FTE: 1.0 - 40 hours per week - Regular, ongoing</p> <p>Work Schedule: 210 Days</p> <p>Salary Range 1: $61,786.00 - $92,679.00</p> <p>Closing Date: May 21, 2025</p> <p>Our People Are Our Strength in BVSD</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>This position provides in-class Tier I and and pull-out Tier II behavior support to increase student achievement and social emotional development. This position also supports school-wide PBIS systems and socio-emotional programming. They will collaborate with and consult with staff to improve student success while supporting school and district policies surrounding its mission, vision and goals.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide push-in classroom behavioral and academic support </li><li>Support the implementation of school-based PBIS systems </li><li>Assist in the implementation of the school's socio-emotional programming (Second Step and Conscious Discipline) </li><li>Provide direct services to students with social/emotional and behavior concerns. </li><li>Assist with crisis intervention </li><li>Implement Tier II behavior intervention strategies for students </li><li>Collect and report data on student behavior </li><li>Assist in the coordination of lunch/recess supervision and support positive behavior during these unstructured times </li><li>Participate in professional development on best practices in working with students with adverse childhood experiences and trauma informed schools/practices </li><li>Follow state legal requirements and district and building policies and procedures </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree with a major pertinent to the position requirements </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>Equivalent work experience pertinent to the position. </li><li>Minimum of one year experience in: working with at-risk students in a school environment. </li><li>Completed and submitted BVSD online application </li><li>Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process </li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish (must pass BVSD assessment) </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience supporting positive student behaviors in a school environment </li><li>Thorough understanding of appropriate developmental behaviors in school-aged youth </li></ul> <p>Salary Information:</p> <p>Salary Range 1:$61,786.00 - $92,679.00</p> <p>Salary Placement??varies according to experience and education.</p> <ul> <li>Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). </li></ul> <p>BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience and education.
