Successful applicants become members of a pool of temporary instructional academic staff eligible to teach, based upon the needs of the department, funding and availability of the prospective staff member.</p> <p>Key Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance </li><li>Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction </li><li>Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations </li></ul> <p>Lecturers may be hired in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Art </li><li>Biology </li><li>Chemistry & Biotechnology </li><li>Communication & Media Studies (Communication Studies, Journalism, Marketing Communications) </li><li>Computer, Information and Data Sciences </li><li>English (English, ESL, TESOL) </li><li>History and Philosophy </li><li>Mathematics </li><li>Modern Language (Spanish, German, Japanese) </li><li>Music & Stage and Screen Arts </li><li>Physics </li><li>Politics, Geography, and International Studies </li><li>Psychological Sciences </li><li>Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of one year teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in area of expertise</p> </li><li> <p>Additional qualifications may be required dependent on the department or area</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience at the college level </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Master's or terminal degree in related discipline is required </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>Applicants are required to apply online.
