<p>Performs Treadmill and Nuclear Stress Testing. Conducts initial patient interview and makes preliminary assessment of test data. Prepares study for physician interpretation. Works closely with physicians and Cardiac Rehab/Cardiology Supervisor to assure accurate and timely test results. The Cardiology RN shall have the ability to provide care to adult and geriatric patients.</p> <p>naEDUCATION:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of approved school of registered professional nursing. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>BSN </li></ul> <p>LICENSE:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>NYS RN license </li></ul> <p>PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>BLS and ACLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. </li><li>CPR certification. </li></ul> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of patient care experience. </li><li>Recent experience in arrhythmia recognition and cardiology. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>ICU or Cardiology nursing experience, and/or experience with stress testing. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills. </li><li>Computer literacy </li><li>Moderate sedation competency within six months of hire into this position. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office products, electronic medical record and/or Meditech. </li></ul>
