<p>Provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment using advanced clinical skills in a specialty area of occupational therapy for patients referred to non-contracted and contracted facilities of the Rehabilitation Institute. Serves as a clinical resource for other staff members. May have an individual agreement with an academic institution for instructional services. Participates in research conducted within the Rehabilitation Institute.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain documentation for all occupational therapy services, including assessments, follow-ups, and discharge summaries. </li><li>Co-sign occupational therapy assistant documentation biweekly. </li><li>Communicate patient's status to referring physicians and healthcare team members. </li><li>Complete charge and statistical information to reflect services rendered. </li><li>Schedule patients to meet productivity standards while ensuring quality care. </li><li>Provide verbal/written home instructions to patients and/or family members. </li><li>Supervise clinical education programs for students from various universities. </li><li>Maintain professional license through continuing education and professional development. </li><li>Perform and supervise occupational therapy assessments, treatments, and plan adjustments. </li><li>Participate in staff meetings and in-service education programs </li><li>Graduate of an accredited program approved by The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) </li><li>Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service. </li><li>Outpatient experience, preferred </li><li>Certified Hand Therapist, preferred </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>Active license in practicing state required.
