<ul> <li>Makes clinical determination of mental status, suicidality, homicidality, or self-neglect of persons who present to the CRF or RC </li><li>Responsible for screening, assessment, and discharge planning for persons receiving services at the CRF or RC </li><li>Conducts individual and/or family sessions as well as leading group therapeutic activities for adults and children receiving inpatient services </li><li>Obtains collateral information from persons who are familiar with the client in order to assess the level of risk </li><li>Refers to licensed provider for involuntary assessment as needed. </li><li>Assists patients with setting up outpatient appointments or with referrals to external community resources </li><li>Assists with completion of emergency screenings for services as needed </li><li>Provides information regarding mental health and substance use diagnosis and treatments </li><li>Provides crisis de-escalation assistance to individuals in inpatient services </li><li>Performs transfer evaluations per Baker Act law as needed </li><li>Completes up-to-date documentation in accordance with the internal and external audit standards. </li><li>Position requires less than 10% travel </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in human services field. </li><li>Minimum one (1) year experience working with individuals in behavioral health. </li><li>Experience working with individuals in crisis or substance abuse is preferred. </li><li>Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service. </li><li>Ability to use a computer and learn the electronic medical record (EMR) </li><li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Ability to pass Level II Background clearance, drug test (CBHC is a drug free workplace) </li></ul>
