The general role of the Assistant Principal is to support the Principal in providing leadership and supervision to the educational program of Paumanok.</p> <p>Specific responsibilities include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Promoting a positive, inclusive school culture rooted in academic excellence, character development, and social-emotional well-being. </li><li>Leading the implementation of a rigorous, standards-based curriculum through best practices aligned with HHH Instructional Priorities.. </li><li>Utilizing the Danielson Framework for Teaching to support teacher observations, coaching, and ongoing professional growth. </li><li>Serving as a visible and collaborative instructional leadermodeling best practices, building staff capacity, and promoting high expectations for all. </li><li>Supporting and supervising instructional and support staff with a focus on continuous improvement and professional excellence. </li><li>Overseeing student support systems, including attendance, discipline, and restorative practices that foster accountability and respect. </li><li>Assisting in the planning and coordination of daily building operations such as scheduling, coverage, and logistical support. </li><li>Strengthening school-home partnerships through ongoing communication, collaboration with families, and stakeholder engagement. </li><li>Coordinating enriching student experiences, assemblies, and schoolwide events that enhance learning and community spirit. </li><li>Demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and a growth mindset in all areas of school leadership. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate NYS Certification </li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with all school stakeholders </li><li>Experience with a diverse student population </li><li>Knowledge of the Danielson Framework for Teaching Rubric </li><li>Knowledge of Infinite Campus and Google applications </li><li>Background in special education and elementary literacy preferred </li></ul> <p>Starting Salary - Step 1: $123,075</p> <p>Interested candidates may apply using the "apply" link above or by visiting the district website - Career Opportunities https://www.applitrack.com/hhhny/onlineapp/.</p>
