<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join a large DHS federal program out of Annapolis Junction, MD, as they transition to a SAFe agile environment. This role requires an Active Secret Clearance and is a fully onsite position.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Release Train Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Drive SAFe Agile transformation by partnering with leadership </li><li>Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean to build self-sustaining, high-performing teams </li><li>Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning, and retrospectives across value streams </li><li>Improve delivery flow by identifying bottlenecks, eliminating blockers, and promoting automation. </li><li>Support Scrum Masters and teams in estimation, planning, and consistent sprint execution. </li><li>Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Release Train Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience with Agile, SAFe framework </li><li>Certified in an Agile framework - SAFe RTE Certification (highly preferred) </li><li>Extensive experience with PI planning and scrum ceremonies </li><li>Hands-on experience managing cross functional teams in Agile/SAFe environments </li><li>ServiceNow experience highly preferred </li><li>Must have an Active Secret Clearance </li></ul> <p>Compensation of the Release Train Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Compensation: between $150,000 - $170,000 based on years of relevant experience </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits: Full Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, 401k, Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, Sick leave as required by law </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 06/27/2025.
