<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job FamilyFAC- Part-Time Faculty, Credit ClassesGradeP1Salary$54.37 - Base RateDepartmentMDC OnlineReports ToAcademic Director of the MDC OnlineClosing DatePosted on an Ongoing BasisFLSA StatusExempt- Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateApril 21, 2025</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>This Adjunct faculty position teaches online Computer Science credit courses for MDC Online.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Facilitates student learning in online courses </li><li>Manages online courses through the LMS (learning management system) and its tools </li><li>Interacts with students online via discussion, chat, and emails at least three times a week </li><li>Evaluates and advises students </li><li>Provides feedback on the course to course developers </li><li>Participates in departmental and College affairs </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (e.g.,Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering); or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science or related field as listed above.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have basic computer software and Internet skills</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a Florida resident</p> </li><li> <p>Must obtain MDC Online Certification by successfully completing specific online training provided by the College upon hiring</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>Previous online teaching experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.</p> <p>For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
