In this role, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical and visual inspections of parts, subassemblies, and completed products to ensure compliance with quality standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform mechanical and visual inspections of aerospace components and assemblies. </li><li>Ensure that all inspected items meet the required specifications and quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address any quality issues. </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of inspection procedures and protocols. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. </li><li>Previous experience in mechanical inspection or a related field is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Cox & Company, Inc. is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you are passionate about quality assurance in the aerospace industry and want to be part of a dedicated team, we encourage you to submit your application.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ensures products meet the organizations and customers' quality and product integrity requirements. </li><li>Perform dimensional inspection on product using calipers, micrometers and height gauges. </li><li>Perform visual and dimensional inspection on product per procedures. </li><li>Perform first piece inspection and in-process inspections. </li><li>Communicate with production supervisor/ team leaders/ operators problems found during inspections. </li><li>Documents inspection results in electronic media and maintains meticulous detailed records pertinent to inspection results. </li><li>Writes non-conforming material reports for defective products. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Background concerning the usage and care of precision measuring tools and equipment. </li><li>Ability to effectively read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, inspection manuals and procedures. </li><li>Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections. </li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of related aerospace ISO and AS requirements. </li><li>Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. </li><li>Maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times and complete tasks in a timely manner. </li><li>Knowledge of dimensional, visual and mechanical inspection processes. </li><li>Ability to work with mathematical concepts. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment. </li><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. </li><li>CMM experience is a plus </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>This role requires U.S. person status as defined under ITAR (22 CFR Section 120.15), which includes U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, due to access to export-controlled technology </li></ul> <p>Benefits & Wages</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary </li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Paid time off and holidays </li><li>Opportunities for career growth and development </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$22 - $26/hr</p>
