If you are looking to build your Skills past the status quo - Trade Up to a Better Crew.</p> <p>Top Reasons to Join:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) with Company Match </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits Package </li><li>Paid Time Off </li></ul> <p>Position Summary: The Commercial Roofing Technician - Shingles is to provide a service to install, maintain and repair the roofs of commercial buildings in a safe and high performing manner.</p> <p>The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Set up ladders and safety equipment according to OSHA guidelines and wear fall arrest systems at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect the roof for existing damage and safety hazards prior to starting work.</p> </li><li> <p>Load roofing materials and equipment onto the roof using cranes, forklifts, and A-frame hand hoists.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all materials and equipment are safely stored and secured on the job site.</p> </li><li> <p>Remove existing roofing using pitchforks or shovels.</p> </li><li> <p>Transport tear-off materials off the roof via hand, wheelbarrows, or material carts into roll-offs or trailers.</p> </li><li> <p>Sweep the roof deck and inspect for damaged decking, insulation, or underlayment.</p> </li><li> <p>Repair or replace damaged decks as necessary to ensure structural integrity.</p> </li><li> <p>Install underlayment with plastic caps as specified on the work order.</p> </li><li> <p>Install new pipe jacks using shingle stick.</p> </li><li> <p>Install all shingles using a strict 6-nail pattern.</p> </li><li> <p>Install all hip and ridge materials using hand nails of the proper length.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform a complete site clean-up at the end of every workday.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide instruction and training to new roofers on the crew.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
