Responsible for student data management, course placement, and post-secondary planning while maintaining essential student engagement services.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Academic Success Coaching:</p> <ul> <li>Manage a caseload of 20 students (up to 25 maximum) </li><li>Provide academic support and intervention strategies </li><li>Monitor student academic progress and identify at-risk students </li><li>Develop individualized academic success plans </li><li>Conduct weekly two-way communications with assigned students </li></ul> <p>College & Career Advising:</p> <ul> <li>Guide students in post-secondary planning and career exploration </li><li>Assist with college applications, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities </li><li>Coordinate career readiness activities and workplace partnerships </li><li>Provide transition support for graduating students </li><li>Maintain current knowledge of college admissions processes and career trends </li></ul> <p>Data Management & Course Placement:</p> <ul> <li>Input student enrollment data into Centric system </li><li>Ensure accurate course placement based on academic needs and goals </li><li>Maintain student academic records and transcripts </li><li>Coordinate with Administrative Assistant on enrollment documentation </li><li>Generate academic progress reports and data analysis </li></ul> <p>Student Support:</p> <ul> <li>Develop trusting relationships with assigned students to encourage academic success </li><li>Meet with students as needed to offer guidance and assistance </li><li>Communicate regularly with teachers, school administrators, and parents </li><li>Establish and communicate clear expectations and guidelines to students </li></ul> <p>Engagement Activities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in student orientation and testing as needed </li><li>Assist in organizing academic and career-focused events and workshops </li><li>Provide one-on-one academic support to students struggling with motivation or participation </li></ul> <p>Communication and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate records of all meetings and communications with students </li><li>Prepare comprehensive reports on student academic progress to send to families </li><li>Document college and career planning activities and outcomes </li></ul> <p>Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with other staff to support student success </li><li>Participate in regular meetings to discuss student progress and academic strategies </li><li>Coordinate with teachers and administrators to address academic barriers </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, or related field </li><li>Experience in academic advising or student support services </li><li>Knowledge of college admissions processes and career planning </li><li>Strong organizational and data management skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, parents, and educational staff </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in School Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field </li><li>Experience in alternative education programs and strategies </li><li>Certification in college and career counseling </li><li>Knowledge of financial aid processes and scholarship opportunities </li><li>Experience with student information systems and database management </li></ul> <p>General Requirements for All Positions:</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Capable of operating standard office equipment </li><li>Ability to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds </li></ul> <p>Key Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication abilities and positive attitude </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment </li><li>Technological proficiency and adaptability </li><li>Self-starter with strong organizational skills </li><li>Commitment to creating a supportive learning environment </li></ul> <p>Two-Way Communication Requirements:</p> <p>(Applicable to all engagement-related positions)</p> <ul> <li>Weekly educational dialogue about course content/progress </li><li>Documented in Centric with personalized logs </li><li>State audit compliance maintained </li><li>Approximately 1 hour per student per week for engagement activities </li></ul>
