<p>General Summary</p> <p>Applicants must qualify for work-study funds from Financial Aid.</p> <p>Starting rate for new hires is $16.00 per hour.</p> <p>Up to 20 hours per week across all student positions.</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes</p> <ul> <li> <p>A submitted application</p> </li><li> <p>A copy of current class schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Students may copy their class schedule from eWolf and paste into a Word document. Then save it to your desktop in order to upload to the application in the "Attachments" step.</p> </li><li> <p>You can also attach a cover letter and/or resume, but it is not required.</p> </li></ul> <p>All application materials become the property of Front Range Community College and cannot be copied. FRCC will conduct a criminal background check on selected candidate. FRCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, age, color, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or national origin in employment or in our educational programs and activities.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assisting the supervisor in the training of new student workers</p> </li><li> <p>Greeting and directing customers</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting students at the front desk in person and by phone</p> </li><li> <p>Answering and routing telephone calls</p> </li><li> <p>Taking accurate telephone messages</p> </li><li> <p>Scheduling appointments with college-wide software</p> </li><li> <p>General clerical work and operation of associated equipment to include but not be limited to filing, sorting, routing, scanning, faxing, copying, laminating, creating word processing documents, data entry to Excel spreadsheets</p> </li><li> <p>Email correspondence</p> </li><li> <p>Higher level duties as required</p> </li><li> <p>Training and certification as provided</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service and communication skills </li><li>Experience with the Front Desk Assistant position </li><li>Reliable and dependable </li><li>Motivated </li><li>Adaptability </li><li>Responsible </li><li>Professionalism in action and dress </li><li>Friendly and professional demeanor </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Maintain confidentiality </li><li>Capable of handling multiple tasks and able to complete tasks on time </li><li>Motivated </li><li>Excellent time management and organizational skills </li><li>Fast learner and team player </li><li>Problem solving skills </li><li>Adaptable </li><li>Ability to perform general internet search </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a FRCC student enrolled in at least 6 credits for the current semester </li><li>Applicants must qualify for work-study funds from Financial Aid. </li><li>Must be able to commit to working for at least 2 semesters in the Pathways Advising and Career Center </li></ul> <p>Notice to Prospective Employees:Front Range Community College is required by the Clery Act of 1990 to notify prospective employees, current employees, students and applicants where to access our Campus Security Report.
