<p>Job Overview</p> <ul> <li>Element Six is currently seeking an experienced Materials Handler to join our collaborative team in Santa Clara, CA. </li><li>We are looking to further expand our small and friendly team. The role is based on-site at our facility. </li><li>The successful candidate will directly report to the Production Manager, working as part of a team of skilled engineers and production technicians developing and producing high-performance diamond products for the global market. </li><li>The role assists the operations, engineering, and finance teams; this requires decision-making and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. </li><li>We are looking for a proactive team member with good communication skills. </li><li>We operate a skills-based program and are a small team; the successful applicant may be required to cross train into other areas as needed. </li></ul> <p>Duties and tasks</p> <ul> <li> <p>Shipping and Receiving</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinating and shipping outbound orders; liaising with external service providers.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain documentation for all inbound and outbound product.</p> </li><li> <p>Following established procedures for receiving incoming orders and processing purchase orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Inventory</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining updated and accurate records of inventory including periodic cycle counts.</p> </li><li> <p>Review documentation to monitor discrepancies and perform reconciliations where appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the coordination of material movement within the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Attention to detail and inventory calculations.</p> </li><li> <p>Materials Management</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support and proactively communicate with internal customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend improvements to existing operational procedures focused on efficiency and cost.</p> </li><li> <p>Create, issue and close Work Orders. Assist in managing shop floor activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in creating and processing purchase orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience and Education</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>1-2 years' experience in a similar role preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with ERP software is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Behaviors</p> </li><li> <p>Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-moving work environment</p> </li><li> <p>Self-motivated and comfortable taking on responsibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborative: Understand the importance of, and ability to communicate effectively and as part of a team</p> </li><li> <p>Safety: Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a "Work Safe" attitude</p> </li></ul>
