<p>The Pewaukee Fire Department is seeking a full-time Battalion Chief to join our leadership team due to an upcoming retirement. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a vital role that shapes daily operations, strengthens community safety, and guides a dedicated 24-hour shift team. The process is expected to start in mid-May with subsequent steps taking place through mid-June.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Associates/Technical degree and paramedic license required; Bachelor's degree/Master's degree preferred. 10 years Fire/EMS experience with at least 3 years as a full-time company grade officer in an equivalent-sized or larger department.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>At Time of Hire ~</p> <ul> <li>CPR/first aid certification. </li><li>National Incident Management Certification Level 300/400. </li><li>WI Certified level II firefighter. </li><li>WI Certified driver and pump operator. </li><li>WI Certified fire instructor level I. </li><li>WI Fire Officer I. </li><li>Valid driver's license in the State of Wisconsin and an acceptable driving record. </li></ul> <p>Within Specified Time Period Following Date of Hire ~</p> <ul> <li>WI Certified Fire Inspector or other nationally-recognized coursework (NFPA, IFC) with State certification within 1 year. </li><li>WI Certified Fire Instructor II within timeframe required by Fire Chief. </li><li>WI Certified Fire Officer II or completion of Wisconsin Chief Officer Program within 1 year. </li><li>Completion of National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program within time required by Fire Chief. </li><li>Credentialed as Chief Fire Officer (CFO) through Center of Public Safety Excellence </li></ul> <p>Please review the Job Description for a complete list of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Job Functions.</p> <p>Starting salary wage is dependent on qualifications and experience.</p>
