Appointment at the rank of assistant professor is likely, but qualified candidates may be considered for a higher rank.</p> <p>The duties in this role include:</p> <ul> <li>Teach an advanced course in the candidate's area of specialty, introductory and capstone courses in our innovative research-focused curriculum, and direction of and instruction in vertebrate anatomy and physiology courses for biology and pre-health. </li><li>Utilize active, engaging pedagogies in the classroom. </li><li>Develop an active research program engaging undergraduate students. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>PhD in physiology, cellular/molecular/integrative physiology, comparative physiology, or related field; postdoctoral experience desired. </li><li>Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship. </li></ul> <p>Salary Ranges:</p> <p>Assistant: $62,000-$67,000</p> <p>Associate: $72,000-$78,000</p> <p>Professor: $83,000-$88,000</p> <p>About NCC:</p> <p>Founded in 1861, North Central College is a selective, comprehensive liberal arts institution of about 3000 students, located 28 miles west of Chicago in Naperville.
