If you're looking for a role where you can optimize logistics, enhance production efficiency, and contribute to a dymanic team, we enourage you to apply.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Logistics Specialist is responsible for maintaining bill of materials, routing manufactured parts, creating and modifying work orders, and supporting purchasing through inventory control and managing production lead times. This role involves coordinating various aspects of manufacturing logistics to ensure efficient production processes and inventory management.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:</p> <p>Primary responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain correct planning parameters in MRP. </li><li>Coordinate with engineering for BOM changes. </li><li>Adjust inventory discrepancies as necessary after investigation. Assist with corrective actions to prevent in the future. </li><li>React to engineering notices and take appropriate actions to impacted parts. </li><li>Cancel workorders based on Material Exception Reports </li><li>Schedule and backflush work orders for assigned production parts. </li><li>Create and schedule work orders using MRP workbenches. </li><li>Assist in planning and execution of annual physical inventory. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Organizational support - Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values; benefits organization through outside activities; supports affirmative action and respects diversity. </li><li>Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decision making process; makes timely decisions. </li><li>Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. </li><li>Quantity - Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly. </li><li>Safety & Security - Observes safety & security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. </li><li>Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. </li><li>Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings & appointments on time. </li><li>Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <p>Associates Degree in Business or other related field with 3-5 years related experience and/or training</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in logistics, supply chain management, or manufacturing operations is essential. </li><li>Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement processes is highly beneficial. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are important for analyzing logistics data and optimizing supply chain efficiency. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for coordinating with production teams and other stakeholders. </li><li>Leadership abilities may be required for supervisory roles or positions involving team management. </li><li>Proficiency in relevant software applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and spreadsheets. </li></ul> <p>Language Skills</p> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.</p> <p>Mathematical skills</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide basic numbers without the use of tools. Should be confident using pencil, paper, and calculator for larger numbers. Have a basic understanding of fractions and decimals.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability</p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>Computer Skills</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; manufacturing software and word processing software.</p> <p>Other Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Physical demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
