Required License: Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. LPN in Surgical Technologist role: Current BCLS certification. Current NC license. Certification with NBSTSA is to be obtained within one year of date of hire. Individuals hired prior to August 1, 2007 are exempt from the certification requirement. Required Experience: Surgical Technologist: Three years surgical technician experience with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science OR Five years surgical technologist experience in an operating room setting.
