<p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Site Merchandisers translate the in-store category and overall Ecommerce strategy into the online experience, incorporated through the visual display of the category pages, category-specific taxonomy, and navigation experience. They are responsible for creating a delightful and easy shopping experience on FleetFarm.com by connecting product performance, marketing strategies, customer experience analytics, and Ecommerce best practices. A strong candidate for this role will demonstrate the ability to devise and recommend digital strategies that maximize the online assortment and drive site traffic by leveraging product performance reporting, industry expertise, and trend awareness coupled with insights and recommendations from Supervisor/Director. The Site Merchandiser will be expected to review the results of site analytics & promotional activities, recommending changes of category online strategies to leadership on a regular basis. As a member of the broader Ecommerce organization, the Site Merchandiser will support the development of content and marketing campaigns by providing links to optimize the customer journey and conversion, as well as participate in the marketing brief process to ensure assigned category objectives are being met.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Browse and search daily to develop a deep understanding of the consumer's shopping experience with our products and continually seek ways to improve it; review and analyze online competitor site merchandising, promotional execution and tactics, user experience, product representation and taxonomy </li><li>Enhance and maintain the quality and accuracy of online merchandising across all touchpoints inclusive of site navigation, product categorization, item bundling, related products & cross-sells, ratings & reviews, link management, etc. through utilization of best practices and key online tools </li><li>Work directly in the Ecommerce platform tool to curate and sequence categories as needed, assuring the product assortment is accurately reflected online. Create and manage product collections for promotions, email, social and other strategic marketing efforts, providing the customer with the best possible product selection; maintain and optimize collections on a daily basis when necessary </li><li>Maintain onsite search and left navigation refinements in coordination with the Onsite Search Analyst. Ensure product has relevant attributes to support site navigation, left navigation refinements, and findability through search. Make recommendations for new refinements by brand/category as needed </li><li>Conduct regular category audits for accuracy and effectiveness of product data, product merchandising & navigation, attributes, promotions, functionality, etc. across all Fleet Farm digital properties, both mobile and desktop; proactively identify and correct issues, working with cross-functional teams as needed </li><li>Work closely with internal partners to optimize new item setup and ongoing maintenance of website product data, ensuring integrity and accuracy of product catalogs; create and maintain business rules and product attribute settings within the PIM system, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, attributes, hidden keywords, and categorization </li><li>Participate in the cross-functional planning, development, and execution of digital programs and campaigns; support event execution inclusive of on-site activations, promotion setup, product sequencing, boosting, etc. </li><li>Execute and maintain web promotions according to the promotional calendar, inclusive of loading promotional content and creative, testing functionality, and ensuring accurate and timely execution of plans; conduct promotional and seasonal post-mortem analysis to inform future promotional plans </li><li>Coordinate with both traditional and digital marketing groups to provide the optimal merchandising destination for all campaigns; ensure the site appropriately communicates key messages, tying back to email, social, brand stories, and seasonal merchandising strategies, ultimately leading to desired business results </li><li>Analyze selling reports and website data to understand category performance and consumer behavior to make business recommendations and changes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal basis </li><li>Support 3rd party technology integrations through daily maintenance of each tool </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university and 2-5 years of experience in Site Merchandising or other related digital fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required </li><li>Previous experience working in Digital Merchandising and Ecommerce preferred </li><li>Passionate about Ecommerce with demonstrated knowledge of web functionality; proficient in site merchandising best practices with an aptitude for translating brand strategies into customer experiences </li><li>Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications required; should have a basic understanding in the linkage from systems to the Web. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics or other web-based measurement tool, coupled with a strong understanding of web metrics, experience measurement, and testing methodologies </li><li>Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, organization and professionalism; properly manages tasks priorities to deliver projects effectively and within set deadlines </li><li>Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner </li><li>Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities may change or shift </li><li>Team player who is collaborative and consistently demonstrates curiosity by asking questions, listening and engaging with others </li><li>Able to build relationships quickly, and work well with many different teams and personalities </li><li>Proactively seeks feedback, accepts areas of opportunity and excellence and applies feedback to grow </li></ul> <p>Fleet Farm is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and gives all applicants for employment equal consideration regardless of race, color, sex, gender, ethnicity, religious creed or belief, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, citizenship status, military or veteran status, pregnancy, or any other status protected by federal, state or local law.
