Our Internship Program is designed to provide students with unique experiences in their field of interest while providing valuable insight into other key areas of the business.</p> <p>Marzetti is looking for an Intern to join the Logistics Team in the summer of 2025!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Creating a Lean Culture - Support Lean Six Sigma site assessment opportunities </li><li>Value Stream Mapping - Assist in creating value stream and process maps for key processes to improve standardization and identify value-add and non-value-added activities </li><li>Gemba Walks - Participate in gemba walks with site leadership to observe processes firsthand and identify wastes </li><li>Kaizen Event Support - Lead Kaizen projects via the DMAIC problem solving structure </li><li>Standard Work Documentation - Help document and standardize standard work procedures for key processes </li><li>5S Audits - Develop, conduct, or assist with 5S audits in work areas </li><li>Metrics - Create dashboards or visual management boards to track performance </li><li>Root Cause Problem Solving - Participate or support RCPS via A3 problem solving template </li></ul> <p>NOURISH YOUR CAREER</p> <p>Over the course of our 12-week program, our interns will gain:</p> <ul> <li>Practical Experience: Take ownership in meaningful projects and share innovative ideas to gain relevant experience in Operational Excellence within the food distribution network. </li><li>Professional Development: Develop your professional network by connecting with colleagues, managers, and fellow interns through social activities, volunteer opportunities, and development sessions with company leadership. </li><li>Career Advancement: Potential for part-time and full-time employment based on your performance and the company's needs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with a focus in: </li><li>Supply Chain Management </li><li>Operations Management </li><li>Logistics </li><li>Operational Excellence </li><li>Industrial and Systems Engineering </li><li>Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience </li><li>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills </li><li>Demonstrates sound judgment and applies logical thinking when creating solutions </li><li>Demonstrates curiosity and initiative </li><li>Displays a professional, positive attitude with team members </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel pivot tables) </li><li>Understanding of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma exposure and/or certifications preferred) </li></ul>
