<p>WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical leadership for the Hospitalist Service, its physicians, staff, and patients at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Our hospitalist team is a stable and respected group who pride themselves in fulfilling their mission to provide excellent inpatient care.</p> <p>Expectations of Medical Director include:</p> <ul> <li>Provides direct patient care as a member of the Hospitalist team, as well as clinical leadership and overall supervision of all practitioners associated with the team. </li><li>Ability to collaborate with physician, nursing and administrative leadership to support system objectives. </li><li>Develop and implement quality improvement goals and objectives that align with WellSpan Health strategy. </li><li>Serve as a mentor and role model for all members of the department. </li><li>Develop and conduct annual performance evaluations for all clinicians. </li><li>Lead the recruitment and retention of physicians and advanced practitioners. </li><li>Participate as an active member of the WellSpan Hospitalist's Leadership Executive Committee </li></ul> <p>Candidates for this position:</p> <ul> <li>Must be Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine and eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. </li><li>Should have 3 years relevant experience required and some management responsibilities and familiarity with performance improvement processes. </li><li>Should possess strong clinical, managerial and leadership skills including strong team-building skills and patient experience and cost-of-care emphasis. </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment to You:</p> <ul> <li>Highly competitive compensation and signing bonus. </li><li>Excellent benefits program including generous retirement savings plan. </li><li>Full relocation </li><li>Malpractice coverage including tail </li><li>$5,500/year for CME </li></ul> <p>For confidential and immediate consideration contact:</p> <p>Marcia O.
