Compensation for candidates in other areas will be competitively adjusted to reflect the local market.</p> <p>The Purchasing Agent with Industrial Packaging experience will be a product expert, interacting with the Sales team and suppliers to meet our customers' needs. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with suppliers on pricing, inventory availability, new items, and complementary/substitute items.</p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the creation and maintenance of all items for assigned vendor lines </li><li>Maintain a clear line of communication with our suppliers and Sales team </li><li>Negotiate and resolve supplier performance issues impacting costs and customer service. </li><li>Achieve in-stock service level targets, response times, and inventory need dates </li><li>Continue improvement of KPIs for out-of-stock items and inventory turns </li><li>Continuously monitor demand forecasting to ensure accuracy </li></ul> <p>You have:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience </li><li>3+ years of buying Industrial Packaging Products experience required </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel </li><li>A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships </li></ul>
