<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Physicians, Hospitalist Services will work at Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA and will apply internal medicine education and training to provide exclusive inpatient or observation care to hospitalized adult patients in medical wards, acute care units, intensive care units and emergency rooms. Position entails providing generalist/primary care consultations, performing patient histories and physical examinations, diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of a range of complex and comorbid disease conditions, management and coordination of care throughout treatment, prescription of medication or treatment regimens to hospital patients, admission of patients for hospital stays, and referral of patients to specialists when necessary. More specifically, the Physicians Hospitalist Services will perform preliminary interpretation of ECG and imaging studies, direct CPR, prescribe BiPAP or CPAP, and interpret results of (but not perform) testing and procedures (e.g., plain films, arthrocentesis, paracentesis, I&D abscess, pathology, and spirometry). The Physicians, Hospitalist Services will perform arterial punctures and venipunctures and will actively participate in Unit Based Clinical Leadership model and structure.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education Requirement:</p> <p>Must have Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from accredited school of medicine or foreign equivalent.</p> <p>License/Certification Requirement:</p> <p>Must have a Pennsylvania medical license.</p> <p>Residency/Training Requirement:</p> <p>Completion of accredited 36-month Internal Medicine Residency program.</p> <p>Skills Requirement</p> <p>Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.</p> <p>Number of positions open: Multiple</p> <p>Work Hours: 1.0 FTE (fifteen 10-hour shifts per month)</p> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Send CV to Swati Redhu, Tower Health, South Sixth Avenue and Spruce Street, M-325, West Reading, PA 19611 Referencing REQ 237571.</p>
