If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health- Inpatient Services, 220 Faison Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.</p> <p>As the Food Service Specialist II (Trayline), working under the Trayline Supervisor and/or Area Supervisors, you will lead assigned staff in operation of food assembly in compliance with department, local, state, and federal guidelines.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Food Service Specialist II (Trayline):</p> <ul> <li>Lead other staff in and prepare, portion, assemble, and serve meals per menu specification. </li><li>Lead other staff in and operates all food re-thermalization and refrigeration equipment to serve clients hot and cold meal requirements. </li><li>Lead other staff in and operate refrigeration, heating, and ware washing equipment to maintain safe temperature requirements. Keeps daily records of temperature charts. </li><li>Lead other staff in and organize the serving and maintenance of food operation and equipment. </li><li>Lead other staff in and performs all ware washing, sanitation, and cleaning techniques to meet department standards. </li><li>Lead other staff in and verify food service accuracy and follow all prescribed procedures and instructions. </li><li>Provides required services in a pleasant, helpful, and positive manner to demonstrate good customer service. </li><li>Adhere to patients' privacy and "Bill of Rights" standards requirements while performing duties. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Physical ability to manually lift 40 lbs. </li><li>Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. </li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, climb stairs </li></ul> <p>or stand for extended periods of time.</p> <ul> <li>May encounter temperatures ranging from 20 degrees F to 400 degrees F around equipment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL POSITION DURING AN EMERGENCY.</p> <p>The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities offers an exceptional benefits package for full time (FTE) employees:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Health, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance for employees, spouse, and children.
