<p>A $4,000 hiring bonus is being offered for this position. Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original full-time employment or re-employment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.</p> <ul> <li>$1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck. </li><li>$1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations". </li><li>$1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations". </li></ul> <p>The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire experienced Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHP) with an active Virginia License for the Adult Outpatient Services program in the Behavioral Health Division. Adult Outpatient Services provides Recovery and Treatment services with same-day access to a behavioral health assessment for Virginia Beach residents age 18 and over with substance use, mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Services include trauma-informed individual, family, and group therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychosocial education and peer support.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience working with Adults with severe SMI, SUD and or co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention and assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, triage and completing a rapid initial differential diagnosis and Level of care; and experience with providing individual and group services utilizing evidence-based treatment approach.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide Clinical assessment and person-centered treatment planning to citizens of Virginia Beach seeking mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring Disorders services. </li><li>Complete diagnosis reviews based on assessment. </li><li>Document medical necessity using ASAM criteria. </li><li>Develop clear, quantified service plans, individualized to client problem/needs, goals and objectives in format approved by Quality Assurance Department. </li><li>Triage non-emergency calls and provide information and referral to community providers when appropriate. </li><li>Complete and monitor referrals to other agency units/services. </li><li>Work with medical staff to determine needs of individuals who are requesting medications services. </li><li>Work as part of a team to continue to develop clients' engagement in services and keep focus on readiness to change as a major clinical focus. </li><li>Provide Motivational Services that provide clients with an opportunity to enhance their readiness for treatment and change. </li><li>Provide clinical documentation and assures that all filing of clinical information and submission of billing information are done accurately and within the time frame required </li><li>Work closely with Emergency Services, Pathways, and the other Same Day Access (SDA) staff. </li><li>Provide "Front Door" services that are person centered and recovery oriented. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm & some varied evenings.</p> <p>The City offers a?generous benefits package which includes?health, dental and life insurance, retirement, and savings plans, maternity/paternity and parental leave, Holidays and paid leave.</p>
