<p>Overview of the role</p> <p>This role provides timely and accurate analytical support to production, leadership and manages laboratory personnel in support of site operations with the objective of providing the required assays of samples. In addition, the Laboratory Manager is responsible for the safety, performance management, and development of employees within their teams.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Manages laboratory processes internal samples related to chemical and metallurgical materials. </li><li>Utilize SAP (other software) to ensure that the stablished quality objectives meet compliance. </li><li>Develop goals and objectives for the department based on company policy, organizational goals and forecasts. </li><li>Supervise the Lab with full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and controlling the work procedures and resource. </li><li>Coordinates the laboratory processes under work scope. </li><li>Ensures that the laboratory has all necessary resources such as Equipment, IT tools, qualified personnel, and the applicable documentation (standards or internal documents) to perform required activity. </li><li>Coordinates the process to ensure the adequacy and availability of specimens/testing results in a timely manner as well as the internal product release related to laboratory test results. </li><li>Coordinates the Certification of material for release to customers. </li><li>Verifies the development and application of safety standards in the laboratories. </li><li>Complies with company policies, procedures and management standards and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the laboratory. </li><li>Participates in audit process: quality and compliance auditing, internal and external customers audits. </li><li>Develops documents and best practices for lab processes control. </li><li>Optimizes testing methods of metallic materials. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. </li><li>Qualifications must include 3-5 years of experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: lab testing techniques including ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and X-Ray. </li></ul>
