<p>Title</p> <p>Full Time and Substitute Van Drivers</p> <p>Location</p> <p>District Wide</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Filling in for district van drivers on an as needed basis, transporting special education students from their residences to their respective schools and back home.</p> <p>This is a great position for someone with school aged children looking for part time work or a retired individual looking to supplement their income.</p> <p>Job Goal: To provide a safe transportation experience for the schools' students.</p> <p>Supervision: Reports to the Director of Student Support Services.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Maintains orderly student conduct while transportation the students.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains an orderly and safe transportation environment, and reports any student misconduct to the Building Principal and the Director of Student Support Services.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in training as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends related workshops and meetings as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with the supervision of students during emergency van drills.</p> </li><li> <p>Any other duties as may be assigned by Administration.</p> </li></ol> <p>The Committee's policy of nondiscrimination will extend to students, staff, the general public, and individuals with whom it does business; No person shall be excluded from or discriminated against in admission to a public school of any town or in obtaining the advantages, privileges, and courses of study of such public school on account of age, race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>7D Pupil license required. Must be available to drive when called.</p> <p>Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing steps whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally.</p> <p>Environmental Conditions: The occupant is required to work indoors and outdoors.
