<p>Medical Interpreter - full-time 40 hours per week</p> <p>Pay Range: The expected base pay for the position is $20-$28 per hour and may be increased based on other factors, such as language, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Primary Function:</p> <p>Under general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Medical Interpreter will provide comprehensive, competent translation services for the patients and clients of the Upham's Corner Health Center in their interactions with health center staff, particularly medical and behavioral health provider staff for patent visits.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides in-person medical interpretation for non-English speaking patients during their interaction with health center staff and providers. </li><li>Provide translation for patients over the phone, as necessary. </li><li>Provides patient assistance with forms, as necessary. </li><li>Prepare translations for written materials, such as signs, letters, and marketing materials as necessary. </li><li>Participation in activities related to quality improvement, including, but not limited to tracking of activities on metrics such as visit time, number of patients served, etc. </li><li>Perform other duties, as required. </li></ul>
