<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Division of Workforce Partnerships works in close collaboration with industry and business leaders to ensure the college's offerings are meeting both current and future workforce needs.</p> <p>The Electrical Instructor will create a safe academic environment that encourages student engagement, while effectively delivering the program curriculum. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that produces student competency in the discipline area.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Track, document, and ensure students have the 144 required hours at the completion of the program year</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that state and national apprenticeship standards are being met</p> </li><li> <p>Along with Lead Instructor sign off on student attendance and hours at the end of each school week</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to CCRI policies and legal regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally to students</p> </li><li> <p>Develop a syllabus that clearly outlines the course requirements, goals, and objectives of the course.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares class sessions and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes for the course</p> </li><li> <p>Teaches course according to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) standards and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes</p> </li><li> <p>Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation Documents students' attendance, participation, and academic progress</p> </li><li> <p>Submits course grades by assigned date</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master Electrician with 5 years in-trade experience</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to use technology in classroom instruction</p> </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of any employment visa including student visas.</p>
