<p>Description</p> <p>This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Machinist at Feldmeier Equipment in Syracuse, NY. In this position you will be responsible for setting up and operating drills, Lathes and other computer-controlled machines. You will also set up the equipment with the correct attachments to perform the job. You will test and troubleshoot the programming that controls the equipment. Ensuring the precision and accuracy of the finished parts. As well as inspecting and maintaining the equipment.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Essential Functions of Position:</p> <ul> <li>Machine Setup- preparing various equipment to run per prints, work orders and other source materials </li><li>Machine Operation- entering the program instructions into the CNC and making sure all necessary jigs, and attachments are being used to correctly perform the job </li><li>Inspect and monitor the machine to ensure completed parts are to spec and to quality standards </li><li>Other Job duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. </li><li>Must be willing to travel locally and overnight up to 25% of the time. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>technical certification in machining is preferred </li><li>Experience with stainless steel processing equipment is a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day. </li><li>The ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. </li><li>Being mindful of safety and use proper PPE when required. </li></ul>
