<p>Magnetic Seal is currently seeking a motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Warren, RI. In this hands-on role, you will support the production of precision components by performing routine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment (manual and semi-automated), conducting preventative maintenance, following detailed work instructions and quality standards, and contributing to a safe, efficient production environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting to help deliver mission-critical products that meet the highest industry standards.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Produces product on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards </li><li>Takes direction to learn basic machine operation, setup, and maintenance </li><li>Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed </li><li>Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications </li><li>Load and unload machines as per the cycle time goals </li><li>Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences </li><li>Performs basic measurement tasks to verify product is within the required specifications </li><li>Responsible for maintaining visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc. </li><li>Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery </li><li>Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules </li><li>Stops work is an unsafe condition is identified </li><li>Reports safety concerns immediately with management </li><li>Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision </li><li>Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Identifies any production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor. </li><li>Maintain proper documentation of data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor </li><li>Maintains cleanliness in designated work area throughout shift </li><li>Cross-trains in various operations and in various cells as needed </li><li>Identifies and lead fixture and tooling projects needed for new or existing product </li><li>Performs other tasks as needed by management. </li><li>Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation. </li><li>Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns. </li><li>Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee's work area. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Regular and acceptable attendance and is an essential function of this job. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Acts in a self-confident manner to facilitate the completion of a work assignment </li><li>Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and conduct that conforms to MagSeal values and culture </li><li>Assures all work is processed in a swift and timely fashion with high quality results </li><li>Possess strong self-motivation, drive and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments </li><li>Organized with emphasis on attention to detail </li><li>Strong verbal, written, and interactive communication skills with all levels of employees, management, and business partners </li><li>Team oriented </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to stand constantly. </li><li>Able to walk frequently. </li><li>Able to sit occasionally. </li><li>Must be able to bend, twist, squat and kneel occasionally. </li><li>Must be able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally. </li><li>Must be able to use fine manipulation continuously. </li><li>Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively. </li><li>Finger dexterity to rotate parts constantly. </li><li>Able to read and write in English </li><li>Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly. </li><li>Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry from 11 to 20 lbs. occasionally. </li><li>Must be able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally. </li><li>Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly. </li><li>May come into contact with chemicals. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing Shop atmosphere with open floor space, can be noisy at times, and is climate controlled. </li><li>Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee's standard hours. </li><li>Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly. </li></ul> <p>ITAR/EAR Compliance:</p> <p>This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware, and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control laws and regulation.
