<p>The Curriculum and Instruction department will be conducting Summer Curriculum Writing in multiple areas this summer. The application below is for interested MTPS staff. Curriculum writing opportunities are pending Board Approval and may change or be eliminated at any time prior to summer.</p> <p>The following Curriculum Writing opportunities are available for your interest:</p> <ul> <li>Grade 6 ELA - Evaluate and modify the 6th grade ELA curriculum written for 24-25 school year. Up to 20 hours. </li><li>Grade 7 ELA - Revision to the 7th grade ELA curriclum to support changes made to the 6th grade ELA curriculum. Up to 20 hours. </li><li>Reading Specialists / Interventionists (K-8) - Revision of BSI Literacy and Math Handbook, required paperwork and processes. Up to 10 hours. </li><li>Math Interventionists (K-5) - Alignment of Bridges Intervention Program to enVisions Math pacing, revising identification process. Up to 15 hours. </li><li>Algebra (8th Grade) - Update curriculum to include 2023 NJSLS revisions. Up to 5 hours. </li><li>Math (K-5 Resource Room/POR) - teachers will apply PLC discussions to create vertical scope and sequence and common resources in pacing. Up to 15 hours. </li><li>Math (6th Grade) - Building Thinking Classrooms: Thin Slicing lesson creation. Up to 10 hours. </li><li>Math (1st Grade) - Grade 1 Topic 1: Revisions to Launch unit. Up to 10 hours. </li><li>Science (6-8) - Update pacing to align with NJSLS and Carolina Science, create digital benchmark assessments. Up to 10 hours. </li><li>Health & PE (8th Grade) - Instruction on grief as part of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in Comprehensive Health and Physical Education. Up to 5 hours. </li><li>Gifted & Talented (K-5) - Curriculum revision. Up to 5 hours. </li><li>STEM (6th Grade) - Tenative: Work with K-5 STEM teacher going to Haines.
