<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual for the position of Recycler to join our team. This role involves contributing to the efficient sorting and processing of recyclable materials (including various grades of paper and container products). This position also includes ensuring the quality of recyclables and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will be able to make decisions in the absence of established policies, handle physical tasks with stamina, and manage mental focus for extended periods.</p> <p>Normal Shift: Mon-Fri; 7:00am-3:30pm (Some Weekends Required)</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Material Sorting: Sort municipal loose paper, and container products. Classify materials into appropriate categories to ensure effective recycling. </li><li>Quality Control: Select and segregate recyclable materials from the trash sort line. Further sort materials by product type to maintain high-quality standards. </li><li>Performance Monitoring: Maintain consistent performance in sorting tasks, operating within a continuous feed conveyor system. </li><li>Record Keeping: Maintain accurate work unit files and records related to sorting activities. </li><li>Issue Reporting: Report any questionable items or quality-related concerns to supervisors for further action. </li><li>Housekeeping: Follow housekeeping procedures to keep the sorting area clean and orderly. </li><li>Metal Sorting: Sort and classify metals as part of the recycling process. </li><li>Equipment Operation: Occasionally use a forklift to move and empty collection containers. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. </li><li>High School graduate or GED certificate. </li><li>Must be able to operate applicable equipment. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. continually. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us:</p> <p>This position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in the recycling process, contributing to environmental sustainability and community well-being.
