<p>Weber State University, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Big Sky Conference, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of compliance graduate assistant (GA) to work from July 2023 through the end of the 2023-24 academic year, with the possibility of extending the position to subsequent academic years. The GA will assist with day-to-day operations of the Office of Athletics Compliance. The successful candidate for this position will receive tuition and fees (including differential) as well as a living stipend.</p> <p>The GA works under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Support Services and the Assistant Director of Compliance and reports directly to the Associate AD. The GA will work directly with coaches and student-athletes from all 16 sports and will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Athletics Compliance and will be exposed to all aspects involved in running a NCAA Division I athletics compliance office.</p> <p>Responsibilities may include:</p> <p>Assisting in monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 12, including Name, Image, and Likeness issues</p> <p>Assisting in the monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 13 recruiting rules</p> <p>Assisting in the monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 17 playing and practice seasons rules</p> <p>Reviewing required student-athlete forms</p> <p>Assisting in the submission of waivers to the NCAA or Big Sky Conference</p> <p>Assisting in rules education efforts</p> <p>Processing transfer tracer forms for prospective student-athletes transferring from four-year and two-year colleges</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.</p> <p>Admission and matriculation into a Weber State University graduate program.
