The team is looking for an LPN to work Per Diem! The Terrace offers our residents the assurance of personalized care in a warm, friendly atmosphere designed to meet their changing needs.</p> <p>As a member of our caring, compassionate health care team the LPN will enjoy:</p> <p>Tuition assistance and reimbursement</p> <p>Facility that is more home setting then clinical setting</p> <p>Work with residents that need assistance with daily living, but not nursing home care</p> <p>Management team that is supportive and will be working on the floor next to you not in an office</p> <p>Diverse team that is supportive of each other and promotes teamwork</p> <p>Strong relationships with peers and residents alike</p> <p>Location with an easy commute from Schenectady, Colonie, Rotterdam and Latham</p> <p>Shadow experiences for those interested in getting additional insight on this rewarding opportunity</p> <p>The LPN will be responsible for, but not limited to:</p> <p>The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing Director and Case Manager</p> <p>Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants</p> <p>Pass medications to approximately 20 residents</p> <p>Interact and take directions from community physicians</p> <p>Foster at all times resident independence and freedom of choice</p> <p>Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation in paper format</p> <p>Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Valid NYS LPN license</p> <p>1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes</p> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <p>1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills</p> <p>1+ year experience as a supervisor or leader type role</p> <p>Understanding of assisted living regulations</p> <p>Comfort with handling paper medical records</p> <p>Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities</p> <p>Communicate effectively in a fast pace work environment</p> <p>Engage within a team setting</p> <p>Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff</p> <p>Think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations</p> <p>Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field</p> <p>Pay Range:$24.00 - $30.10</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
