All positions and services now fall under the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health as we move forward in serving individuals, families, and communities across the state.</p> <p>What you'll do at DBH:</p> <p>This role requires a working knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment for clients and staff. Additional job duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Performing housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean residential area, such as dust mopping, sweeping, buffing and waxing floors, scrubbing sinks, toilets, countertops, walls, and ceilings, dusting and cleaning furniture and equipment, emptying and washing trash receptacles, removing and cleaning or replacing drapes, rehanging drapes, installing curtain rods, washing windows, polishing mirrors and glass, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, and replenishing soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. This also includes sweeping and scrubbing corridor floors and washing windows. </li><li>Removing litter from the outside grounds of the residential area, clearing snow and ice from walkways, picking up litter, sweeping walkways, and reporting any signs of fire, illegal entry, or theft. Additionally, responsibilities include raising and lowering the flag. </li><li>Performing other related duties such as stocking supply closets, replacing light bulbs, reporting equipment repair needs, securing doors and windows, moving furniture, and sorting and washing linens and laundry. </li><li>Attending required in-service trainings and staff meetings as assigned. </li><li>Continuously and proactively assessing environmental situations, organizational policies, and procedures. Monitoring the behavior of staff, clients, and visitors for any situations that could pose risks and reporting them appropriately. </li></ul> <p>This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of # 2 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Day Shift.
