<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>As an Associate in our Data Forensic practice, you will begin to utilize your educational background as well as your organizational skills as you serve the firm's dynamic client base. An Associate's responsibilities include problem solving, consulting, and fact-finding on active cases as well as internal practice initiatives (e.g. recruiting, business development, and service offering innovation). You will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the business by working on various stages of a forensic consulting engagement across issues like bribery and corruption, fraud, money laundering, disputes, litigation, corporate compliance, and data breach response. On these engagements, you will work side-by-side with more experienced team members who can provide you with direction, coaching, and learning opportunities.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provides data analytics services to a variety of clients, including outside counsel, regulators, and companies involved in litigation, investigation, dispute, regulatory, and compliance matters </li><li>Contributes to forensic engagements related to fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance risks, foreign corrupt practices act (FCPA), disputes, and other matters </li><li>Develops working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicates effectively </li><li>Forensically collects, imports, cleans, documents, and performs in-depth data analytics with large datasets </li><li>Prepares high-quality, accurate client deliverables and insights </li><li>Acts with professionalism and integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information </li><li>Maintains a proactive and logical approach to information gathering, combining complex ideas and clear and effective information presentation </li><li>Identifies and researches new trends and tools and understands the data analytics marketplace while working on client engagements </li><li>Develops expertise in technical programs (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python) </li><li>Assists with developing documents, procedures, and solutions on non-billable practice development initiatives </li><li>Works on international projects with potential domestic and/or international travel </li><li>Audits own work product as well as other team members' work to ensure quality </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Information Systems, preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership experience, preferred </li></ul> <p>Software:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of relational databases, preferably SQL Server </li><li>Experience with Python, R, and/or other programming languages or tools, preferred </li><li>Experience with data profiling, analytic, and management tools, preferred </li><li>Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI), preferred </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, preferred </li><li>Willingness to learn and develop skills in these programs </li></ul> <p>Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and autonomy </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner </li><li>Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details </li><li>Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with others with accountability for work product </li></ul> <p>Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.</p> <p>California Range: $78,000 - $85,000</p> <p>Colorado Range: $66,000 - $72,000</p> <p>Illinois Range: $74,000 - $76,000</p> <p>Maryland Range: $70,000 - $75,000</p> <p>Minnesota Range: $66,000 - $72,000</p> <p>NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $78,000</p> <p>Washington Range: $68,000 - $78,000</p> <p>Washington DC Range: $70,000 - $75,000</p>
