Join the #VTeamLife.</p> <p>What you'll be doing…</p> <p>The Verizon Responsible Business organization oversees the corporation's mission to be a leader in Responsible Business, creating lasting value for investors, employees, and the broader community. To support this mission, the Responsible Business team seeks a Sr. Analyst who will perform a large volume of administrative tasks in support of the financial functions of the Corporate Social Responsibility/Responsible Team. The Sr. Analyst will report to the CSR/RB Finance Sr. Manager, with the goal to drive the Responsible Business budget accurately, effectively, and within target. To properly fulfill this role, a comprehensive understanding of the rules of charitable giving and Verizon's related corporate policies is required. This objective includes the following responsibilities on behalf of the Responsible Business (RB) organization:</p> <ul> <li>Perform the administrative duties to support the CSR/RB Finance Sr. Manager for required financial planning activities, including the annual bottoms-up build and monthly Outlook/Best View submissions. These activities include building spreadsheet templates, working with the RB teams on inputs, and the consolidation of information with validation checks. </li><li>Perform the administrative duties in support of the CSR/RB Finance Manager for detailed monthly results reporting. These activities include running reports from the grant administration system (Cybergrants) and the Financial System (1ERP), as well as reports for travel expenses for the CSR/RB team. </li><li>Approve all CSR/RB grants for accuracy and compliance, and ensure they are charged to the correct CSR/RB budgets. On average, the RB team processes over 1,200 grants per year. </li><li>Approve the direct deposit account information (ACH) info on all nonprofits; this requires confirming that submitted documentation (voided check, etc.) matches the information in the system. </li><li>Manage the vendor creation process which requires communicating with and inviting new vendors to submit their information into the financial system (1ERP) and ensuring it is approved. </li><li>Enter all invoices accurately into the financial system for processing which requires knowing how to properly code so that they are charged to the right program. On average, the RB group processes approximately 400 invoices per year. </li><li>Process V-Card (Virtual Card) payment requests for the RB team. On average, the RB team processes 20 V-Cards per year. </li><li>Act as the point of contact for the AP team on any issues or questions related to processing payments </li><li>Support the annual Verizon Foundation external audit, including running requested reports and providing source documentation to auditors. </li></ul> <p>What we're looking for…</p> <p>You'll need to have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience. </li><li>Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience. </li><li>An understanding of how to use corporate financial systems for reporting and analysis. </li><li>Ability to prioritize, problem solve and execute sound judgment. </li><li>Expertise in using Google and Microsoft Office software with strong Powerpoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets skills. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as strong oral and written communication. </li><li>Self-motivated and able to work independently; comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance multiple tasks </li><li>Innate curiosity and a passion to learn about responsible business, and the aspiration to help Verizon enhance its reputation as a socially responsible corporation. </li></ul> <p>Even better if you have one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. </li><li>Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA). </li><li>Experience in the Corporate Social Responsibility field. </li><li>Ability to think creatively to identify opportunities and develop potential solutions and analyze alternatives in a structured and organized way. </li></ul> <p>If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.</p> <p>Where you'll be working</p> <p>In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Verizon is an equal opportunity employer. For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.</p> <p>The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.</p> <p>The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $67,000.00 - $121,000.00.</p>
