Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Material Handler</p> <p>Pay Rate: $24.45 per hour</p> <p>The Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS operates on a 24/7 production schedule. This position will work:</p> <ul> <li>C Shift - Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every other Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm </li><li>D Shift - Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every other Friday 6:00pm - 6:00am </li><li>B Shift - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday 6:00pm - 6:00am </li><li>Shift premiums: up to $1.50 per hour </li></ul> <p>In the Material Handler role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Operate forklifts to load and unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer needs </li><li>Maintain forklifts and other equipment to reduce/eliminate downtime </li><li>Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety </li><li>Actively participate in team meetings and training </li><li>Assist with the sanitation of warehouse </li><li>Complete routine computer-based-trainings (CBTs) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Possess a high school diploma or a GED </li><li>Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy </li><li>Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment </li><li>Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred </li><li>Ability to comply with PCB Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) </li><li>Ability to comply with a captive uniform policy; daily PPE will include a hairnet, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, gloves when necessary, and a beard net when necessary. </li></ul>
