<p>Overview</p> <p>Electric Boat is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to work in the Machine Shop for Facilities Department. Applicant must have general industrial electrical knowledge.</p> <p>Applicant must also be able to support the below requirements while adhering to all OSHA regulations, company electrical safety training practices and guidelines, NEC codes including NFPA 70E:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to troubleshoot and repair multi-voltage electrical systems equipment up to 480 volts, troubleshoot and repair control systems including servo control system, VFD, PLC and CNC machine type systems. </li><li>Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation </li><li>Must be able to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic blueprints </li><li>Must be capable of minor installation of temporary wiring system and electrical construction projects. </li><li>Must be able to work in the high voltage maintenance program and be able to troubleshoot medium voltage equipment up to 35KV </li><li>Must be able to work with outside contractors and machinery equipment vendors </li><li>Must be available to support weekend work and emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required or 2 years of related technical experience </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain Electric Boat "R" TLD Program qualification </li><li>5+ years' experience in the electrical maintenance field or 5+ years' experience in industrial and commercial electrical field including troubleshooting and repairing all types of control systems (up to480 volts) </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>CT and/or RI state electrical license </li><li>Trade or Technical Degree Program Certificate is desired. </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet</p>
